AMOR ES AMOR EXCLUSIVE SCREENING

With a special thank you to Miércoles Entertainment, The Receipt was invited to a special screening of Amor Es Amor (Love Is Love), the new film directed by Rob Schneider and starring Vadhir Derbez, Rob Schneider and Paulina Dávila. Set in 1990s Mexico, the film follows Enrique, a closeted telenovela star played by Derbez, as he struggles to hide his truth in hopes of securing a major network contract. Things become even more complicated when Roger, played by Schneider, attempts to help Enrique by setting him up in a PR relationship with pop star Sofia, played by Dávila. As pressure continues to build and an accident leaves Enrique dealing with memory loss, he is forced to confront his identity and figure out what he truly wants for himself.

Held at Lionsgate Studios in Santa Monica, California, the special screening brought together guests for a fun and welcoming night hosted by Miércoles Entertainment. Before the film, attendees were treated to complimentary food and drinks from Chagos Tortas, along with photo opportunities and a chance to meet Vadhir Derbez himself. Amor Es Amor is now available to stream on Hulu on Disney+, bringing a heartwarming story of love, identity and finding yourself to audiences everywhere.
