Baja Beach Fest returned to Rosarito Beach for another weekend of reggaeton, Latin music, and nonstop energy, once again proving why the festival has become such an important part of the Latino music scene. Year after year, the festival continues to grow, bringing bigger artists and even bigger crowds to the playa. This year’s lineup featured major names like Anuel AA, Ozuna, Junior H, Omar Courtz, Chencho Corleone, Yandel, Nicky Jam, Kenia OS, Dei V, Zion, Ryan Castro, Manuel Turizo, Kapo, and Sean Paul.
One of the best parts about Baja Beach Fest is how it continues to represent the different sides of Latin music. Along with the reggaeton and urbano acts, the festival has continued giving regional Mexican artists a major platform, with Junior H and Eden Muñoz representing the genre this year. Seeing artists from regional Mexican sharing the same stage as names like Anuel AA, Chencho Corleone, Omar Courtz and Dei V shows just how much the Latin music world continues to expand and crossover.
The weekend also brought some of the biggest names from different generations of reggaeton together. Yandel and Nicky Jam represented the legends who helped build the sound, while artists like Ryan Castro, Kapo, Kenia OS and Manuel Turizo continued to represent where the new generation is taking Latin music. Sean Paul also joined the party, bringing his own dancehall influence to the beach, while Ozuna and Anuel AA reminded everyone why they remain some of the biggest names to come out of the reggaeton
movement.
And of course, Baja Beach Fest knows how to switch things up. Steve Aoki and John Summit brought the EDM vibes to the playa, adding another layer to a festival that has never been afraid to go beyond just one sound. After another successful weekend, Baja Beach Fest continues to prove that there is a real home for all sides of Latin music on the beach. Every year it gets bigger, the lineup gets crazier, and the festival continues to be one of the biggest celebrations of Latin music and culture.
