The day no one wanted to arrive had finally come. But while it was a bittersweet ending, it also meant one last round of performances from some of the biggest Latin artists in the world. Day 3's lineup was something out of a dream for any Latin music fan—packed with diversity and talent from all over Latin America. The headliner? None other than the most trending group in the world at the moment, Fuerza Regida. But beyond them, we also had Kali Uchis, Mora, Jowell y Randy, Piso 21, Dei V, Tiago PZK, and Snow Tha Product. Though all of these artists fall under the Latin music umbrella, their styles are vastly different, making the final day of Baja Beach Fest feel truly special.

Kicking off Day 3 were rising stars Delilah and Fredy Fresco, who put on incredible performances and made it clear that they are here to stay in the industry. Then came Snow Tha Product, an immensely talented Latina rapper who went viral after her collaboration with Argentinian DJ Bizarrap. Following her was Tiago PZK, an Argentinian rapper who rarely performs in North America. A massive name in the Latin industry, he’s an even bigger star in his home country, where he rubs shoulders with Leo Messi and the Argentinian national team. His song celebrating Argentina’s World Cup victory went viral, and at Baja Beach Fest, he performed some of his biggest hits, including "Piel" and "Una Foto Remix." Fans showed up early, waving Argentina flags in support, but one of the most memorable moments of his set was when he wrapped himself in a Mexican flag handed to him by a fan. He then shared a heartfelt story about how one of his first-ever shows took place in Mexico, expressing his deep appreciation for the country and its people.

After Tiago PZK, we witnessed one of the fastest-rising Puerto Rican artists, Dei V. His rise to fame felt like it happened overnight—despite being early in his career, he's already reached heights that take most artists years. A prodigy of the new generation of Puerto Rican reggaeton, Dei V has collaborated with heavyweights like J Balvin, Cris Mj, Saiko, Karol G, YOVNGCHIMI, Myke Towers, Eladio Carrión, Mora, and Young Miko. Seeing him perform his own set rather than as a guest was a rare opportunity. His performance received so much love that even Bad Bunny posted a photo of him on Instagram, showing his support. Dei V is a star in the making, and Baja Beach Fest bringing him out was a historic moment.

Next up was Piso 21, the Colombian group known for their heartfelt love songs. It was my first time seeing them live, and their set brought the festival crowd together in a way that only their music could. Even for those who weren’t in relationships, they made sure to include their single fans, pointing them out in the crowd as they sang. Their performance was all about good vibes and unity. Then, as the sun went down, legendary duo Jowell y Randy took the stage and turned the entire festival into a massive nightclub. Fans packed the GA section, knowing how iconic their set was about to be. Their performance had everyone going wild, with fans climbing onto each other's shoulders to get a better view on the jumbotron screens. As true pioneers of reggaeton, their show was one that no one wanted to miss.

Following Jowell y Randy, Reggaetonlandia took over the Tower Stage with their DJ mix. Known for throwing legendary reggaeton parties across the U.S., especially in L.A., this was their first time being invited to Baja Beach Fest—a great move by the festival. But after Reggaetonlandia came what I believe was the most cinematic performance of the night: Mora. The Puerto Rican singer had been on a hiatus, making his return to the stage even more special. As the lights went dark, the intro to "MEDIA LUNA" began playing—a haunting guitar riff. Then, six masked dancers emerged, each holding a microphone. As they sang the chorus, fans began wondering: which one was Mora? One by one, the dancers left the stage until only one remained. The beat dropped, pyrotechnics erupted, and suddenly, from the right side of the stage—where no one expected—Mora came running out. His music is known for heartbreak and melancholy, but that didn’t stop fans from screaming every lyric. His hiatus only made this performance even more special, and I was in awe to finally witness him live.

Then, the majestic Kali Uchis took the stage. Personally, I’ve been a fan of her since the early days when she collaborated with English indie artists, but she’s evolved into so much more. Embracing her Colombian roots, she has released hit Latin songs with stars like Karol G and Peso Pluma. Her performance was mesmerizing, bathed in purple and pink haze, with diamond-studded boots and dazzling outfits adding to the spectacle.

Finally, we arrived at the bittersweet moment: the festival’s grand finale. We knew it was coming to an end, but they had saved the best for last. Earlier this year, Fuerza Regida announced they would no longer be performing in Mexico due to security concerns, leading fans to worry whether they would actually take the stage. But there was no need to doubt. If there’s one thing Fuerza Regida knows how to do, it’s make a grand entrance. Sure, punctuality is polite, but given their fame and the obstacles they’ve faced, their late arrival only made the anticipation greater. And when they finally stormed the stage, jumping across it and hyping up the crowd, the energy was electric. Lead singer JOP had the audience in the palm of his hand. Fuerza Regida played for a straight two hours, not wrapping up until 4 AM. Their legendary set included special guests like Clave Especial, Kevin AMF, and Tiagz, who all performed their hit collaborations.

Baja Beach Fest 2024 was an unforgettable experience. I’ve never witnessed anything like it in my life. No other Latin music festival compares to the star power, the energy, and the atmosphere of Baja Beach Fest. From the sheer talent on display to the diversity of artists, the breathtaking beachside location in Mexico, and the passionate fans from all over the world, this festival was truly for the people. And this year, they exceeded every expectation.
