Better Late Than Never is the perfect quote for the situation that bachata fanatics have with Romeo Santos and Prince Royce. Being dubbed the King and Prince of Bachata over the years has put these two artists on a level of their own within the genre because of how much they have not only helped shape bachata music, but also helped build it into the global phenomenon it is today. Throughout the years, the media always seemed to build a fake story of envy and rivalry between the two, but as time went on they continued to show the world that there was nothing but support and love between them. Other than the occasional social media interaction or photo together, there had never really been any clue, hint, or reveal of a full collaboration between the two. But here we are in 2026, blessed by the King and the Prince of Bachata, not only experiencing a project so important to the genre but also witnessing their tour firsthand.

A few months ago, we were invited to attend their exclusive album release and CD signing event in Long Beach, California, and not only were fans waiting blocks down the road to meet the duo, but it was a sign that the genre is very much alive and showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Now, as we fast forward to today, the iconic duo are selling out venues across the United States, bringing bachata across North America for not only Dominicans, but all Latinos to experience and enjoy.

What makes this tour even more special is that it is not simply a celebration of their new collaborative music, but a celebration of bachata itself. For years, fans dreamed of seeing Romeo Santos and Prince Royce share the same stage for an entire tour, and in 2026 that dream has finally become a reality. The energy inside the venue felt historic as thousands of fans sang every lyric word for word, danced alongside family and friends, and witnessed a moment many never thought would happen. It served as a reminder of just how far the genre has come and how much these two artists have contributed to its growth around the world.

Throughout the night, Romeo Santos and Prince Royce delivered performances from their long-awaited collaborative project while also taking time to showcase their individual careers. Fans were treated to solo moments from both artists as they performed some of the biggest hits that helped define their respective legacies. From Romeo's legendary bachata anthems to Prince Royce's timeless classics, every song felt like a celebration of the genre's history and evolution. Together, they created a concert experience that honored the past, celebrated the present, and proved why they continue to be recognized as the King and Prince of Bachata.
