Dareyes de la Sierra has been a staple in the music industry for years, with his early years consisting of creating classic hits such as “Hasta El Día De Hoy” and “La Recia.” But if there was any artist in the industry that displayed a prime example of how to evolve, grow, and adjust to changes in the music industry, he is that example. What artists who have been around for a while struggle with today is adapting and experimenting with new sounds to stay relevant. Dareyes de la Sierra is no stranger to staying on top, and adjusting to the times and experimenting with new sounds is what he is great at. In order to have a great legacy in this industry, you must be consistent, and Dareyes de la Sierra has shown that with his newest songs such as Frecuencia, Vita Fer, and Supreme, all off his latest album, Redención. This project, along with the songs on it, has had great success, with Vita Fer getting 189 million streams on Spotify and Frecuencia taking the internet by storm with 99 million streams. Dareyes de la Sierra success is no surprise, especially with his collaborative hits with artists such as Xavi, Tito Double P, Clave Especial, and many more, accumulating millions of streams and taking over the music charts. Today we had the opportunity to sit down with him at the Live Nation headquarters as he prepares to kick off his 2025 Redención Tour in North America. He spoke to us about his highly anticipated tour and his newest projects.

The following interview has been transcribed and translated from Spanish to make the most

sense for online reading:

Interviewer: Today we are with Dareyes de la Sierra, thank you very much for being with us here today! We have a few questions that we’d love to talk about regarding the success of your most recent projects and, of course, your upcoming tour. This is your first-ever solo U.S. tour, Redención. How does it feel to finally bring your music directly to fans across the country?

Dareyes de la Sierra: Thank you for having me. The feelings I truthfully feel are a bit of nerves because of how grateful I am for the amazing support of my latest album, Redención. I hope that all of you can enjoy the tour because it's something that we have been waiting and planning for a very long time now.

Interviewer: Your U.S. tour shares the same name as your latest album, Redención. What does this project represent for you personally and artistically, and how does it set the tone for the tour?

Dareyes de la Sierra: Well, the album is called Redención because it's an evolution, it's a new stage in my life. But musically speaking, the composition is completely different from what I used to do a long time ago. And that's why I called the tour and the album Redención. The message is there in the lyrics of the songs, and I feel like it's adaptive and not forced.

Interviewer: You’ve been up there with some of the biggest Mexican artists of all time, but you have also evolved your sound completely. How does that feel?

Dareyes de la Sierra: It feels like a blessing. I feel like we did things the right way and, at times, better than what they should have been. It's a blessing to be in a position of the public liking us and working with huge artists that you also mentioned. We’re very blessed, and it's a beautiful feeling. There are no words to describe the appreciation for the support we have been getting.

Interviewer: Your fan base has remained loyal over the years — and now, with a younger audience discovering you, what surprises can they expect from your setlist or stage performance on this tour?

Dareyes de la Sierra: During my tour I will include my early hits that I have written from many years ago, such as Hasta El Día De Hoy and La Recia, but of course I will have a special part for Redención because that's a product that no one has seen from Dareyes yet, and I can't wait to perform it for fans.

Interviewer: What surprises do you have for your tour? Special guests, special setlist, or performance — anything?

Dareyes de la Sierra: Surprises stay surprises when you don't say anything, and all I can say now is that there are many surprises! Many invited guests, so don't miss out — buy your tickets because they are selling quickly!

Interviewer: With cities like Houston, LA, and New York on the tour list, do you have any personal favorite cities you’re excited to visit or perform in again?

Dareyes de la Sierra: The entire tour excites me. It's always a bit nerve-wracking to start the tour, so now I am a little anxious to start it, but every single city on this tour excites me, and it's a dream come true to perform in all these cities. I promise I will be putting in the same full effort to put on a great show at every tour date.

Interviewer: Being one of the most consistent Mexican artists always at the top, what are your thoughts on the evolution and direction that the Regional Mexican genre is going in?

Dareyes de la Sierra: In 2006 we were nominated for many awards in which I was a part of, but the industry was completely different at the time from what it is today for Mexican music. The attention in Latin music was always geared towards Latin Urban music. I knew Regional Mexican music was a long time coming to what it is today. It changed because we finally began doing collaborations with those Urban Latin artists, and it got me emotional because I never thought I could be part of this chapter of Regional Mexican music. People are finally respecting it on a global level, and we have to thank not only Mexican fans but music fans from all over the world.

Interviewer: Your album went number 3 globally, Vita Fer went No. 1 on Spotify Mexico, and we know you write and produce your songs. How’s the process for this? With all this success, how does this process come about?

Dareyes de la Sierra: To make the album Redención, it was a huge process. We had to do many production camps and many writing sessions with composers. The process was a bit difficult at first, and in December we were still finishing it up. We were in the studio for a very long time with my team by my side. But it went well because it's something we put our heart into. We were very dedicated and were very fortunate to see the results that we dreamed of having.

Interviewer: Your song Frecuencia is trending on social media. When you see your music trending all over — not just on radio but with people using it on social media — what do you think of that?

Dareyes de la Sierra: There are songs that could have billions of streams but people don't sing along to them. I think Frecuencia is a song that will be around for a long time because of the lyrics it has. It's currently viral, and I am in disbelief because I was not going to release that song in the first place. You can do things thinking that people will like it, but you never know. And that's why we're so grateful for the support the song has gotten and for seeing all these videos and TikToks people are creating. I feel blessed to be part of that — to be able to have written it — but I am also thankful for my team who supports me. I thank Double P and George Prajin for all the support they have given, and that's why these blessings are happening.

Interviewer: What's a final message for all your fans?

Dareyes de la Sierra: Redención Tour 2025! Don't miss out on it, please, because I know you won’t regret this experience!
