Dareyes de la Sierra is a staple in the regional Mexican genre, with a legacy that extends not only in longevity but also in talent. From his early career writing romantic songs to shifting and evolving his sound to the newest and most popular styles in regional Mexican music, his longevity and success have allowed him to not only stay relevant but to continue to grow with each project released by the artist. From his oldest hits such as “Hasta El Día De Hoy” to his newest collaborations with stars like Peso Pluma, Tito Double P, Grupo Firme, and many more, Dareyes continues to expand his impact. But apart from collaborations, the Mexican star continues to release huge hits such as his biggest song, “Frecuencia,” which took the new generation of Regional Mexican listeners by storm. Now, Dareyes was making his next stop in Los Angeles at the iconic Belasco Theater, where he looked to make his mark in history at the famous venue.

Upon my arrival, the line was wrapped around the block with fans showing up early to show their support for the artist making his stop here in LA. The best sight to see was the diversity in age groups from all the fans that showed up early to support. It was clear that he had fans from all over — especially those from his early days who came in tejanas and boots, and some of his newer audience who came in full designer fits, ready to enjoy the new hits. Dareyes not only sold out the Belasco Theater, but he also sent a message that his presence in the music industry is here to stay and only growing bigger. As we made our way closer to the stage, the energy and excitement from fans only grew stronger.

As I made my way to the media pit, all you could see from the very front to the very back were fans trying to push their way closer to the stage with their cell phones out, ready to record the opening. Finally, the lights turned off and the crowd went crazy. As the band made their way out to the stage, suddenly you saw Dareyes come running out from the corner as he began to sing his hit songs right away for all his fans. The theater was literally shaking from fans who jumped, danced, and screamed upon his entrance. The energy was high and never went down, and I was finally able to confirm that Dareyes truly keeps high energy throughout his entire performance. No matter what song played, he was singing, dancing, and controlling the stage as if he owned it. Dareyes not only had a great time interacting with fans — giving them the mic to sing along, tossing hats thrown on stage, and keeping the crowd engaged — but he also brought out a special guest. He brought none other than fellow LA legend Larry Hernández to perform their older songs together, which fans absolutely went crazy for. There was also a very sentimental moment on the stage in which Dareyes and his team shared with fans. His team had came out and surprised him with plaques of his hit album Redencion and all the achievements it had reached.

Dareyes de la Sierra is a legend in regional Mexican music, and the fact that he has been in the game for so long with consistent success is a true example of what more artists should strive for. Dareyes’ tour was a testament that anything is possible in this world and that age and time are no excuse to stop growing. Dareyes’ hits are still trending on the charts to this day, and we can’t wait to see what he has next for all his fans.
