Latin EDM DJ Deorro debuted his hit new single “El Tomate” in a surprise pop-up show at
Tacos Los Cholos in Huntington Park, Los Angeles. Fans were welcomed by Deorro’s iconic set, featuring all his hits including “Perdóname,” “Five Hours,” “Yo Las Pongo,” and many more mixes. Full of energy and love, the audience danced and sang along in support of Deorro and his music.

The mesquite grill and salsas weren’t the only things heating up. The crowd was treated to
Deorro’s new single “El Tomate,” featuring La Adictiva, and responded with overwhelming
enthusiasm. After the set, Deorro ensured an unforgettable experience by engaging with every fan—signing merchandise and taking photos and videos with guests as they exited, all smiles.

“El Tomate” proves to be a groundbreaking single as it blends the EDM genre with Mexican
banda, produced by two Latin powerhouses. La Adictiva, a legendary Mexican musical group, incorporates their Sinaloa banda style into Deorro’s explosive electronic beats. The blending of both genres creates an innovative dance track enjoyed by both banda and EDM lovers, bridging music and cultures.

When asked about the creative process behind “El Tomate,” Deorro shared that he was inspired to create an original track for Latinos within the rave community and feels honored to blend cultures through music. He explained that genre-blending collaborations with prominent Mexican artists offer opportunities to learn more about culture and add new layers of passion to his work.

Creating an EDM track with a banda foundation presented unique challenges, especially
ensuring that all the instruments fit cohesively into the mix. However, the rich instrumentation of banda also helped fill sonic gaps. The result is a bold new party anthem that balances the strengths of both genres.

“El Tomate” brings a sense of nostalgia paired with a fresh, revolutionary sound enjoyed by multiple generations, while connecting cultures—fulfilling Deorro’s vision for the song. You can stream Deorro's newest single now on all streaming platforms.
