Hard Summer Festival returned to Los Angeles this past weekend with an all-star lineup, electrifying energy, and unforgettable moments. With vibrant energy, a passionate crowd, and nonstop music, this year’s festival set a new standard to Hard Summer. Legendary Mexican-American DJ and producer Deorro headlined Hard Summer on Sunday night with an iconic set that brought out surprise guests including Cypress Hill, Voces Del Rancho, and Bolo the DJ. Deorro has cemented his legacy in EDM and thousands of fans showed up early to get a good spot to witness his set. But the party did not stop there because even after the festival’s 10 p.m. strict curfew, the party was far from over. Only the biggest names on the festival line up were hosting after party events in which Deorro was one of the high profile DJ's to host his an official after party. The energy stayed high at the official after-party held at the legendary Academy LA in Hollywood, where Deorro delivered another amazing performance—complete with more music, special guests, and his signature roses.

We were even lucky enough to share some personal time with Deorro during his set at Academy LA where he answered a few questions regarding his emotions behind his Hard Summer weekend.

1. You’ve been a part of HARD Summer in the past—how did this year’s experience stack up

against previous ones? Does it feel any different or more special?

Deorro: Performing HARD Summer is always something special, but this year definitely hits different. I haven’t performed at HARD Summer for the past two years so being back and the festival being in LA; it was unreal. From the second I stepped on stage, I could feel the love. Being able to share that moment with my community, in a city that shaped me, surrounded by people who’ve supported me from the beginning, it’s hard to put into words.

2. With HARD Summer introducing a 10pm curfew for this year's event, what was it like

being chosen as one of the few select artists to host an official afterparty and seeing all those

fans show up?

Deorro: It was an honor! People still have all this energy, all this fire and they're not ready to go home yet. So for me to be able to step in and keep that vibe going? That was a no brainer. It felt like a part two of my set. I had more time to build off the energy from the festival and the crowd was still going wild. The night just kept going and everyone held onto that same intensity. The energy was great.

3. This year’s HARD Summer lineup featured several Latin artists especially with a Latin

artist head lining and closing night including yourself. How do you feel about the increasing

presence and support for Latino talent in the EDM scene?

It means everything. Seeing more Latino talent getting love on big stages like HARD Summer is huge and to be part of that, representing not just myself but the whole community, it makes me excited for whats to come. This is just the beginning and I’m hyped for what’s next. Vamos con todo.

Deorro continued to keep the energy and vibes high through the night, and the crowd erupted as he took the stage at Academy LA. Deorro truly closed the Hard Summer weekend in his very own Deorro signature style. Opening his set with Latin-inspired tracks and dazzling visuals, he instantly captivated the audience. As always, he showered fans with roses, a fan favorite.

The surprises kept coming. DJ Ocho joined Deorro on stage to debut their brand-new collaboration, giving fans an exclusive first listen. The crowd embraced the track with enthusiasm, but the night was just getting started. Deorro went on to play fan favorites like “Perdóname,” “Yee,” “Five Hours,” and “Me Caes Muy Bien,” showcasing a flawless blend of EDM, hip-hop, and Latin influences.
