Intuit Dome is one of the newest and largest arenas in California, capable of seating 18,000 people in a high-tech, state-of-the-art venue. You would only expect the best artists in the world to perform there, and that was exactly the standard both Fuerza Regida and Intuit Dome delivered on a special sold-out night of their tour. Fuerza Regida is a true example of what hard work and dedication look like in the music industry. In many recent interviews, JOP, Fuerza Regida’s lead singer, has shared his difficult journey and the struggles he faced on his path to success. There are countless videos online showing Fuerza Regida’s early days performing at birthday parties and backyard gatherings. If you had asked anyone back then, they probably wouldn’t have imagined a group from San Bernardino selling out the Intuit Dome years later. But if you asked the group themselves, they would tell you it was all part of the plan. Fuerza Regida made their stop in Los Angeles for two back-to-back sold-out nights on their "Pero No Te Enamores Tour" at the Intuit Dome, where fans lined up hours early to secure the best view and prepare for a night full of partying.

I was fortunate enough not only to attend and enjoy the show but also to shoot some media for the concert, capturing a preview of what the experience looked like. As I parked my car and made my way to the arena, I cleared multiple security check-ins, which, honestly, made me feel incredibly safe and assured. As I got closer to the entrance, all you could see on every screen and wall was the iconic red heart with the circular cross over it. Translated to English, "Pero No Te Enamores" means "But Don’t Fall in Love," the title of Fuerza Regida’s most recent album. This album ranked 25th on the U.S. Billboard chart and number 2 on the U.S. Top Latin chart. Fuerza Regida is recognized as one of the pioneers who brought the corridos tumbados and jersey corridos genres into the mainstream. And what better way to celebrate their success than by performing in Los Angeles to a sold-out crowd?

As I waited in the media pit for the concert to begin, suddenly, all the lights went out. Loud gunshots rang from the speakers while pyrotechnic flames erupted. The flames lit up the stage—and there they were, Fuerza Regida. The man of the hour, JOP, stood center stage in an all-black suit. After the gunshot effects subsided, the unmistakable trumpets and bass of "Igualito a Mi Apá," one of their most popular songs, filled the arena. This song, like many others they performed that night, brought a wave of nostalgia and happiness to fans who had been there from the very beginning of Fuerza Regida’s journey. Today, the group isn’t afraid to step out of their comfort zone, exploring new sounds with their jersey corridos. Even songs like "CH y la Pizza" had fans screaming and jumping out of their seats—it’s not every day you get to hear these classic corridos performed live by Fuerza Regida. And knowing that this was only three songs into the concert, I kept thinking to myself, "How can they top this already?" But with a showman like JOP, you know you’re in for a night of music, partying, and surprises. As I made my way back to my seat, I looked around and saw all 18,000 fans, from floor seats to the top deck, waving their phones in the air.

As the night continued, so did the party, with both old and new hits from Fuerza Regida’s discography. They played some of their absolute best songs, including "Falsa," "CRAZYZ," "TQM," and their viral cumbia hit, "Bebe Dame," which took TikTok by storm. After almost 90 minutes of non-stop performing, JOP asked the crowd, "L.A., are you ready to go back to the SMO days? Where are the real corrido fans at?" Immediately, you could feel the entire stadium shake from the jumping and excitement. For those unfamiliar, a few years back, when corridos and regional Mexican music were still making their way into the mainstream, Rancho Humilde used to host iconic concerts called "SMO," which stood for "Smoke Me Out." These shows were a mini-tour featuring the biggest and up-and-coming groups in the corridos tumbados genre. Back then, Fuerza Regida was just an opening act, while the old-school groups headlined. That night at the Intuit Dome, Fuerza Regida took us back to those days. They even brought out special guests Legado 7, Arsenal Efectivo, Herencia de Patrones, El De La Guitarra, and Los Hijos de Garcia. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d witness all these legends sharing a stage at the Intuit Dome, but Fuerza Regida not only made it possible—they also used the moment to pay their respects to the OGs of the genre.

The night was filled with legends, partying, music, Mexican culture, and pure talent. And what better place to experience it all than the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California? Fuerza Regida knows what it’s like to start from nothing and build something special in music history. Other rising artists signed to JOP’s label, Street Mob Records, also made appearances, including Calle 24, Tiagz, Juan Salazar, and Jorsshh. Fuerza Regida has made history with their sold-out North American tour, and they will continue to represent Mexican-American artists across the world with their music and success. Special shoutout to Live Nation, Street Mob, and, of course, the Intuit Dome for making unforgettable nights like this

possible.
