Currently on his Grammy-nominated run for his latest album God Does Like Ugly, J.I.D continues to bring his electrifying stage presence on his current God Does Like Paradise tour. With a three-leg run, J.I.D is sure to encapsulate the crowd with a mix of storytelling and melodic raps that will keep those in attendance fully entertained. Before J.I.D comes to the stage, the audience will first be greeted by three strong supporting acts: Marco Plus, DC The Don, and Young Nudy. Each act brings their own unique energy and approach to their set that will leave a lasting impression. With the show being held at the YouTube Theater, guests will be met with a very intimate feeling regardless of where they are sitting.
Complimenting his ability to entertain on stage, J.I.D also has a strong ability to connect with the crowd in between songs by expressing gratitude to his fans (whether new or old), reflecting on his journey to where he is now, and of course acknowledging the fact that he is Grammy-nominated this season. Throughout the show, J.I.D performs a majority of his recent album, but as he states throughout the night, he’ll also be playing his “foundational songs,” which happen to be his hit singles. Songs such as “151 Rum,” “Surround Sound,” “NEVER,” and even the aggressive “Stick” are played for all fans to enjoy. Of course, the most anticipated part of any show is seeing whether any special guests will come out to support, and J.I.D made sure to make a few calls for his stop in Los Angeles. By just the fourth song alone, fans witnessed Vince Staples come out and perform alongside J.I.D on their track “VCRs.”
As the show continued, even more special guests appeared, including 6lack, Kenny Mason, Ab-Soul, and Mereba.

Each supporting act, guest appearance, song, transition, and fan helped shape the experience this night turned out to be. There wasn’t a single moment where fans weren’t singing along or on the verge of tearing down the barricade from the energy the night brought. Whether you consider yourself a new or old fan, J.I.D is sure to have something in store for you. There are still many dates left on his North American leg of the tour, so do yourself the favor and catch J.I.D at a city near you!
