With Regional Mexican music growing more popular every single day, it’s hard to find an artist or group that truly stands out in a sea of talent trying to make a name for themselves. What once almost seemed extinct has now drastically shifted into a movement full of new artists trying to ride the wave — but these days, the only way to get noticed is by being genuinely unique. That’s exactly what Mexican superstar Neton Vega has done, using his deep voice to fuse reggaeton with corridos. His hit songs like "Loco," "Te Quiero Ver," "LINDA," and his newest single "Que Motor" all blend the corrido style with reggaeton beats in a way that feels refreshing and true to his sound. While electro-corridos have gained popularity in recent years, Neton Vega paved his own lane, and that distinct sound helped him sell out the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California for two nights in a row. His talent and work ethic even earned him a North American tour, with a massive stop at BMO Stadium on August 23rd — and we were lucky enough to catch a preview of what the future holds for Neton Vega’s live shows.

As I arrived early and made my way to Toyota Arena, fans were already lining up to get good spots and start the party. Legion RG, Joel De La P, and Clave Especial had all announced they’d be opening for Neton Vega, and fans took advantage of the early entry to buy merch and show support. The arena was massive, and once the doors opened, it quickly started filling with fans chanting Neton’s name and singing along to the DJ spinning his hits. As the night went on, the excitement only built, with everyone anticipating Neton Vega’s first major arena show. Leading up to the concert, fans on social media had been wondering how he’d perform, how he’d move on stage, how he’d sound live — especially since he hasn’t performed much in the U.S. But Neton Vega used this opportunity to prove himself and made sure every minute counted for his fans. At exactly 10 PM, the lights shut off, and the arena erupted with screams.

Smoke filled the stage, blue neon lights slowly faded in, and suddenly, the sound of Peso Pluma’s “Rubicon” guitar intro filled the air. The crowd went wild as Neton Vega made his entrance — covering his close friend’s song to open the night. Starting such a big concert with a cover is a bold move, but that’s exactly what Neton Vega has always been about — doing things differently. As he stepped out and took control of the stage, the city of Ontario was there for every second. Backed by dancers, Neton stunned the crowd with unexpected choreography that had everyone in awe.

As the night continued, so did the energy. Neton performed hits like "Loco," "Te Quiero Ver," "Amigos? No." and of course, the fan-favorite "LINDA." Alongside his strong discography, Neton had a few surprises in store, including a guest performance from Joel De La P, who joined him on stage for a live version of their song "3." Joel thanked Neton and the crowd for the love and support and celebrated Neton’s two sold-out nights. Fans were also treated to a special video message from Tito Double P before Neton performed their hit collab “LINDA.”

The night kept leveling up. While Neton hasn’t always been known as a choreography-heavy performer, he danced on stage all night with his crew — even performing from a flying platform, singing above the crowd. Neton continues to break barriers and show up for his fans in ways that prove he’s not just growing as an artist, but evolving as a performer — and at a pace we’ve never seen from another regional Mexican artist. After two sold-out nights at Toyota Arena, his momentum only points upward, and all signs say BMO Stadium on August 23rd will be even bigger. A huge shout out to Blanca Castro and Bobby Dee Productions for making a special moment like this happen for the city of Ontario.
