Omar Courtz is the face of the new era of Puerto Rican reggaetón. After many successful collaborations with some of the biggest artists in the genre, it's clear that Omar Courtz's legacy is being built strong — and early. When Omar was announced on the festival lineup this year, fan pages went crazy, knowing that apart from his tour, they’d also get to catch him in a festival setting. And just like his solo tour, his set did not disappoint. Fans showed up early in support, with banners and merch repping Omar. Though he was one of the early opening acts, the crowd made it feel like he was a co-headliner at this music festival in Chicago.

Fans swarmed the pit and barricades early to get a good view of Omar Courtz, and it felt like a main act was about to hit the stage. When the lights turned off and the only thing shining was the sun beaming down on fans, the screen suddenly flashed pink with his album cover character. Pyrotechnics and smoke machines went off, and his hit songs started playing, immediately sending the crowd into a frenzy of screams and jumps. Omar hit the stage sprinting in a red sports jersey, sports goggles, and of course, his iconic pink microphone. His stage presence was undeniable as he performed every song with passion, interacting with fans and clearly enjoying every moment.

Omar Courtz’s set was a clear message to festival-goers: he’s a star. His hit collaborations with Latin music’s biggest names are proof that he’s both backed and respected. His music catalog is diverse — with tracks that make fans dance in the club, vibe alone in their rooms, and now, go wild at festivals. Omar will continue his tour across the United States, and his rise is a sign of hope that the future of urbano Latino is in great hands.
