In 2024, when Peso Pluma and Sueños announced that he would no longer be performing his set at Sueños Music Festival, the internet broke—along with many festival-goers' hearts. Peso Pluma is the type of generational artist you fly across states to witness live, and although he had planned in his heart to perform for the city of Chicago, the weather had other plans. But if there’s one thing Peso Pluma does, it’s keep promises—as he was expected to return the following year and put on an even better performance. And that’s exactly what he did in 2025, on a star-packed lineup in Chicago.

Everything seemed as if it were meant to be. The weather was perfect, many of Peso’s friends were on the lineup, and he was fully ready to put on a classic show for his Chicago fans. As Peso Pluma’s set was scheduled toward the end of the day, the sun had just begun to set, creating the perfect mood for fans to dance and sing along. When Peso Pluma came out, he did it in style—his violin players created a cinematic sound for his entrance, and his band members were perfectly orchestrated, making it feel like a movie intro. Then there he was, running across the stage in a big black puffer jacket and black hat. Peso Pluma is not only a talented musician but easily one of the best Mexican performers. Though he may not rely on elaborate choreography, he makes up for it with unmatched fan interaction, signature gestures, and dance moves. Peso Pluma truly made up for his absence last year, bringing out friends such as Oscar Maydon, Jasiel Nuñez, and of course, his cousin Tito Double P. They all shared the stage in an iconic performance for the fans in Chicago.

Peso Pluma’s stage presence is something that’s never been seen before in the regional Mexican genre—and it’s exactly what allows him to sell out arenas around the world. For a while, Peso Pluma was considered possibly just a trend, but his career has proven that he’s more than that—he’s a staple in the music industry. Peso Pluma is now one of the most respected Regional Mexican artists and helped shape the genre into what it is today. Beyond being an artist, he showed he’s also a top-tier performer, CEO, and a loyal friend—sharing the stage with collaborators who mean a lot to him. Peso Pluma’s set at Sueños Music Festival 2025 will go down in history as one of the greatest—if not the greatest—headlining performances in Sueños Music Festival history.
